CLIMATE change is taking its toll on Andalucia, a new report has revealed.

Despite recent floods, rainfall reduced by one third between 2007 and 2015, according to the Junta’s 2015 environmental review, which has laid the blame on greenhouse gas emissions.

It also reported an average temperature rise of 1.1C in the same period, in keeping with the global trend.

Environment councillor Jose Fiscal, who unveiled the report, said he will ensure the region continues to work with the UN and inter-country groups to address the problem.
