MARIANO Rajoy has hailed the ‘historic’ Paris Climate Change Conference agreement.
The Spanish leader also praised his former PP colleague, the European Commissioner for Climate Change and Action, Miguel Arias Cañete.
The 195 participating countries have agreed to limit the rise in average global temperatures to ‘well below’ 2°C, or 1.5°C if possible.
The agreement doesn’t state how much each country should cut their emissions by, although from 2018 onwards countries have to submit individual targets every five years.
