A PROJECT to bring recycled water to eight Marbella golf courses is nearing completion after the installation of a new 15km pipeline.

The five-year expansion project at the Vibora water treatment plant – funded by owners Acosol – will extend as far as Arroyo de Miel.

It will also service local parks and public spaces, with recycled water being used to tend to the shrubs and greenery.

After several delays the cost of the project has reached €13.5 million, but Marbella Town Hall has now approved the new pipeline.

This summer it will begin transporting water to La Siesta, Cabopino, Artola, Santa Maria Golf, Marbella Golf, Santa Clara, Rio Real and Greenlife.
