A BABY whale has been found dead on a beach.
The 4.7 metre whale was washed up on Micaela beach in Chipiona, Cadiz.
It is not known how the animal died.
Chipiona City Council has stated the whale is now in the possession of CREMA, a team of marine biologists that specialise in both animal rescue and the investigation of dead sea life.
A study by the University of Sevilla reveals that 15 species of cetaceans – whales, dolphins and porpoises – can be found in Andalucian waters.
